ever changing floor patterns

Architectural Digest Germany magazine organised New Perspectives at the Kronprinzenpalais in Berlin; an exhibition of 12 German interior design firms selected by AD Germany. It resulted in a strong exhibition with very diverse interior presentations.

As one of the participants, Stephanie Thatenhorst Interior chose a floor and wall design by Carpets for Buildings to realise a cosy interior concept with plants, soft colours and mellow sounds.

Kronprinzenpalais

A monument on boulevard Unter den Linden 3 in Berlin and a part of the Forum Fridericianum. It was built in 1663 by an unknown master builder and last rebuilt in 1857 by Heinrich Strack in classicist style.

Burnt out in World War II and demolished in 1961, it was reconstructed in 1968-1970 by architect Richard Paulick as Palais Unter den Linden.

On 31 August 1990, the unification treaty between the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic (DDR) was signed at the Kronprinzenpalais.
