ABOUT
Carpets for Buildings is a carpet design and coproduction company that allows you to create unique and ever changing floor patterns which increase the spatial experience of a building.

Continuous patterns are generated by custom made software which ensures that each tile of 1 square meter is unique in design. Any tile can be placed next to another tile in any order creating a lively pattern and smart spatial experience.

The artificial intelligence of computerized carpet production machines ensures a generative design and ever evolving patterns.

The unique designs and production method that Carpets for Buildings offers is regularly featured in professional media, for example in ‘Elements’ by Rem Koolhaas.
Wall-through-wall carpet : in an effort to break the monotony of the ubiquitous wall-to-wall carpet, the Dutch firm Carpets for Buildings lays the floor plan (in a computer) over a massive gradated pattern, with carpet sections then printed as pieces of this whole. Instead of repeating a single design, spaces are defined as unique fragments of a customized visual whole.
